The annual family ceilidh took place in Cleasby Hall on Sat 21st November. 45 people enjoyed the dancing and the good spread of the shared buffet.

Tony Hill sang and played to some good classic ceilidh dances and even introduced some new ones. We all danced and the children played a good game of musical chairs whilst our teas digested before we set off again dancing away and having an excellent laugh.

Mountain Bike Section Annual Cake Off

Fantastic weekend in the Peak District for the sixth SOC Mountain Bike Section Cake Off. Eight great cakes and for the third year in a row Judith was our top baker with her sticky toffee pudding cake. Mike was second with his delicious giant Jaffa cake. We had surprise guests to present the awards and, importantly but secondarily, two excellent days mountain biking that were far drier than forecast. Many thanks to Judith for organising a great event, the bakers for all their fine efforts and our surprise guests for putting in an appearance!
