Teesdale Walk 26 May 2022
On 26 May six of us enjoyed a lovely varied walk of about ten miles from Romaldkirk. We initially walked downstream to Cotherstone for a coffee stop by the river, where we glimpsed a mink. Then, following the Dipper emblem, we walked along The Teesdale Way to Eggleston for a rainy lunch on the Green. Thereafter we enjoyed sunshine and glorious views, passing the Old Saddle House once used to store the tack of Galloway pack horses carrying lead ore, crossing Beckstones Wath Bridge and then into Mickleton from where we walked back to Romaldkirk along the old railway track amongst a profusion of wild flowers.
