Windy Weeth, sorry Reeth.
Well today's ride started by driving back from Reeth to the Dales Mountain Bike centre in the vain hope we could wait for the rain to stop and at least start in the dry. So what to do whilst we wait, other than drink tea & coffee! The delay in departure resulted in Alex joining our enthusiastic group, so all good. Even though it's my name down for ride leader I have to thank Steve for coming up with a weather appropriate route. So thanks Steve. Even though we were mostly lucky with missing the rain (albeit we suffered a 5 minute hale storm) what made it tough was the wind, blimey it was hard work! But with the wind on your side it made the climb up the Stang Road to Low Moor seem fairly easy, unfortunately the same can't be said for the other climbs! Descent down to School Master Pature was nice and fast. We all managed to stay relatively nice and clean until the final section of road down into Fremington. Oh and who would have thought it Judith and I actually recognised where we were on Whaw Moor! Or should I say where we needed to be. Alternate route was probably a blessing given the snow (found on the higher ground) and wind which made the simplest of riding tricky.
Thanks to Team Turner, Alex, JB and Simon.
