Sutton Bank in the sun
We had lovely weather for our Saturday ride from Sutton Bank, sunny all day and enough wind to keep us cool. Jenny, Saskia, Louise, Alan and I headed out along the Fort route, one of the waymarked trails, and followed it to the edge of the escarpment. My plan was to do the next section backwards so we had a good long run down on some pleasant singletrack followed by a rather tough climb and push back up again! Sorry about that, I know it was supposed to be an easy-going ride, nobody minded too much though and we sat at the top in the sun and a cooling wind for part one of lunch.
Then on to High Paradise but we passed the cafe by and set off back towards the visitor centre along the excellent singletrack on the top of the cliff edge. A fun ride all the way back and after a stop for part two of lunch we finished off on the twisty trail back into the car park. We sat outside the cafe in the sun, slaked our thirst and ate cake, scones and ice-cream. A lovely end to a gorgeous ride out on the bikes. Great to see everyone.
