Easy does it 18.07.15

Saturday 18th July and we had an easy going ride from Scorton. Alex decided to come along despite having an aversion to grass and despite me telling her it was mainly grassy fields round Scorton. Peter K also came along- no not him off the telly – another Peter K that I used to work with so that was good for a catch up.

Luckily I hadn’t put Alex off because although we did go in quite a few fields it was mostly dry dirt singletrack that we rode on and then forayed further afield to the delights of Catterick and the hidden trails that are on offer there. As you can see from the photos it was pretty interesting in places. (for those of you who want to see some more – look out for our Catterick Raid on September 2nd!) It must have been quite a gnarly ride as Alex ended up in the bushes on 2 occasions – either that or she was having problems with her pedals – new cleats on old pedals – that old chestnut!

Anyway I can’t tell you where we went in any detail except it was fun, 20 miles and had the added bonus of smashing ice cream at the Station; chocolate was very popular but I opted for orange cheesecake plus fig and ricotta – get yourselves there before it all goes.

Thanks to Steven for making it a grand 3 hours out and getting us back 1 only minute passed the scheduled time!
