Masham - Hampsthwaite 11 May 2016
I was amazed to see Jenny out on her bike so quickly after her accident in Majorca. She had no problem in keeping up with the group - Berni, Yvonne, Mark amd me.
Our route took us out via West Tanfield and Ripon to Studley Royal where we stopped for morning coffee. We sat outside by the lake on a beutiful sunny day.
Onwards from Fountains Abbey to Markington and Ripley to Hampsthwaite. The bluebells in the woods besides the Nidderdale Greenway were magnificent. After a very good lunch stop at Sophies we returned on a shorter but hillier route via Grantley to Masham. Some people were heard to question the accuracy of my undulating description thinking that it was more hilly than undulating.
43 miles on a great day.
