It was a full car that Phil drove to Dungeon Ghyll comprising of Janet, Callum, Bruce, Ginny and me. The last time I did Jack's Rake was on a hot summer day so I was excited to see the Rake in winter conditions. We made steady progress for most of the scramble only needing ice axes at the very end.
As it had been snowing since 1.00pm our descent via Harrison Stickle and Thorn Crag was now covered in snow. "It wasn't like this when we set off" said Janet. We all smiled and agreed. We finished off the day with a drink in the Sticklebarn. It had been a very enjoyable day.
