Gouther Crag, Cumbria - 2nd September
Eight climbers met at Scotch Corner. Together with a further 6 going directly to the crag meant the best gathering for some time. The weather was perfect giving way to lovely views over the Swindale valley. The routes climbed by 14 of us are too many to mention. Suffice to say the classics of the crag were covered ie Kennel Wall, Fang, Fang Direct. Other routes that I heard were covered are Scabby Horse, Truss Buttress, Sostenuto. Finally thanks for the round of applause awaiting me in the pub for being the last one back after leading Hindleg Crack.
