Here we are drenched again in October but on four out of the five Sundays in September the climbers got out climbing!

September 2nd saw three cars go over to Gouther Crag near Shap in glorious weather with most of the classics up to HVS 5a ticked see report on website.

The following Sunday glorious weather again this time we visited Great Wanneys in Northumberland. The highlights were Great Wall HVS 5b lead by Tom (dragging me up) and Calum seconded by Ray, and Carol`s leads on Great Chimney and Boundary Corner (photos on website)

The forecast for Sunday 16th was poor which put of most people but Carol and Andy P more optimistic then most and headed to Wharncliffe near Sheffield and climbed several routes before the inevitable rain arrived.

Dry again the the next Sunday as well, only one (but a full Renault Espace) went to Corbys in Northumberland where Harry defeated ( after a bit of a fight) Sunshine Superman HVS 5a, and Carol got her first VS tick on Nuts Wall.

Normal service was resumed Sunday 30th with wind and rain signalling the end of summer.
