Cam Crag Ridge
Posted by Swaledale Outdoor Club on 2012-11-08
It was thanks to spectacular weather that we had such a great time scrambling in the Lakes. Here's how the day unfolded. We were six members who arrived at Seathwaite at around 11.00am. The party was Phil and Janet, Andy (from Thirsk), Ginny, Neil and me. Having driven past Blencathra in the snow we were hoping for more winter conditions in Borrowdale. We weren't disappointed. We walked along side the river for an hour until we arrived at Cam Crag. Having scrambled up to the ridge we were rewarded with panoramic views of High St, Kentmore and the Helvellyn range in the snow. After a lovely walk ,through some snow back to the car, there was time for drinks in the Scafell Hotel before heading home.
