Rules

Car Parking: Car Parking is available on the left just after crossing Grinton Bridge (if coming from Richmond) at SE046986. This will be indicated by signs and by the Stewards. There is no charge for car parking. Please note that we have been asked not to permit competitors to park in Reeth. Your assistance in this matter may be crucial to the continuation of this event. A free shuttle bus will operate in both directions between Reeth and the car park from 1pm.

Registration: Registration will be at Fremington Sunday School (SE044990). This is 700m from the car park via a footpath through fields.

Refreshments: A free meal will be available for entrants at the finish at Reeth Village Hall. Drinks will be available at Checkpoint 1 (Bridge) and Checkpoint 7 (Surrender Bridge) - you may also wish to carry your own drink. Food and drinks will be available at Level House, Gunnerside and Reeth at finish.

Souvenirs and Awards: Free Certificates, badges and a pottery souvenir will be awarded to all who finish within 10 hours. A marathon T-shirt can be purchased on the day.

A special gold coloured badge will be awarded to all completing their 10th Swaledale Marathon and a silver coloured badge for anyone completing their 5th Marathon.

Prizes, in the form of items of local pottery, will be awarded to the first three men and first three ladies, the first team and the first ladies team (6 to enter as a team, first 4 to count).

Trophies: There are 8 trophies for Fastest Man, Fastest Lady, Fastest Veteran Man (50+), Fastest Veteran Lady (40+), Fastest SOC Man, Fastest SOC Lady, Marathon Team Trophy and Ladies Team Trophy.
