This page will provide an index into the favourite sea trips hierarchy. Ideally it wants to be tied to a menu entry in the FAQ hierarchy, immediately after "Learn about sea kayaking". It should also be linked from within the text header of the "Previous Sea trips" page, but I don't know how to add that text header (possibly needs admin privilege level).
We aim to include (initially):
Farne islands A challenging day trip with much tidal interest and fantastic wildlife viewing in early summer. Terns, Cormorants, Shags, Guillemots, Puffins and Seals are all around in large numbers. Unfortunately, so are tourist boats, not always considerate of kayakers. |
| NE Coast daytrips |
St. Bees Head A west coast alternative for when the North Sea is not friendly, offering spectacular sandstone cliffs and nesting birds, along with rockhopping among the boulders at the foot of cliffs. |
Lismore |
| Sound of Mull area |
Garvellachs |
Beyond things that might be considered "favourite trips" we probably want a list of links to trip planning resources for other areas (mostly gpx-map-based), and these should include links to existing Additional Notes pages...
