Canoeing previous river trips

This selection of trip reports covers river trips (which will include both kayaking and open-boating, whitewater and touring rivers). SOC river trips range from easy trips on slow-moving water to whitewater on rivers up to grade 4. We paddle anywhere from local rivers to Scotland and Wales, with a few holiday trips almost anywhere in the world. Individual members may paddle harder or longer trips than appear in the club programme, too. People are more inclined to write about their adventures further afield, so you may find that the latter are over-represented here, but rest assured that SOC does plenty of local and introductory river paddling too.

Many of these articles are taken from our monthly newsletter, but you will find more photographs here, and links to more information such as guidebooks, maps and weather or river-level information.
