Melmerby20 people and Laura, one of our younger members, set off towards Carlton in Coverdale then across to West Scrafton where Laura and Judith left us, on to Swineside and over the river to Horsehouse. Here we had lunch, recounting stories of past Club camps behind the pub in Horsehouse. A steady climb out of Horsehouse caused some consternation but we all eventually made it to the top and Fleensop. We then followed the north side of the valley back to Melmerby. What a glorious day which we finished off in Leyburn sitting outside the pub where we were joined by Lol and Shirley who would have been on the walk but Shirley decided to drop a radiator cover on her toe!
