Club Camp 2002Hawkswick Cote, Littondale - 12th to 14th July 2002Where were you all? We started to gather late on the Friday afternoon. Tents were pitched, meals eaten, the local area explored and pubs visited before retiring for the night. Saturday morning saw at least 3 cycle rides setting off at varying standards and members also enjoyed walking, climbing and caving trips. The weather had been brilliant all day and this, amazingly for a club camp, stayed for the evening barbeque. Instead of avoiding the raindrops we were avoiding the midges. A game of rounders was suggested to try and shake them off. A female versus male game was enjoyed by all and won by ----- (that depends on which team you were on). Sunday dawned bright and clear and again cycle rides, walks, and caving trips were planned and undertaken. In all about 30 members joined in the various activities, a disappointing number but excellent weather, campsite facilities and location was enjoyed by all and maybe needs to be repeated.
