Sutton Bank

It was a beautiful sunny, but freezing cold day when we ventured up to Sutton Bank for my long awaited return trip which has been on the programme all year.

5 of us were there and we picked up a stray rider who by the end was happy to join the SOC. Dave's salesman techniques are rubbing off on all of us! We were so glad it was frozen because the route would have been extremely wet otherwise. We rode across the top then lowered down along a technical track into the forest, along the edge of Gormire Lake, through the forest and back up White Horse Bank. It was fantastic, with good company and a long enough route in the cold conditions which woke us all up after stewing over Christmas. Many others obviously decided to come out as the cafe was closed due to such high demand and too few staff. We did manage to get our lunch eventually though.

I've decided to put it in the programme again as it is such a diverse, interesting route.
