Winston5 of us met at Winston, and we set off through Ovington, Whorlton, South Newsham to meet 7 who started at Staindrop. We continued at a steady pace (slow, slow, Vic Vic slow) through Hilton and Evenwood to Toft Hill where the Wear View Diner was to be our lunch stop. We were unable to get enough seats together so we decided to sit outside in the warm sunshine. Our soup/coffee/cakes were served to us outside. We returned via High Lands and Esperley to either Winston 32 miles or Staindrop 17 miles. Fantastic weather and good company. Thanks for turning up. Vic Parkinson |
