Scorton

9 Adults and 3 children met at Scorton. Andrew Anna and baby Alice had hoped to join us but did not make it.

We took the lanes to Langton and on route had a pig stop and found childish amusement in feeding the friendly Berkshires on acorns. On to Kirkby Fleetham and then to the Fencotes which were the highlight of the day (joke). The less said the better but if you really want to know more, ask John or Mick. The Roberts family left us here to cycle back to Northallerton. At the next junction it was decided to return to Scorton via Catterick so Mike and I left the group to retrace our path to Northallerton. Between Kirkby Fleetham and Langton who should we meet but Andrew, Anna and Alice on their way back to Northallerton via Scruton. Mike and I turned round and we all went to Kirkby Fleetham where, to our surprise, the others were standing around talking, having changed their minds about their route. So we had a pleasant natter and all of us went back to Langton where John, Mick, Ray, Lilian and Peter made their way back to Scorton and Mike, Andrew, Anna, Alice and myself to Northallerton.

Thanks John for this enjoyable leisurely ride.
