Last Ride of the YearIt was a fairly grey December morning in Barton as we gathered for the last road ride of the year. A recent record of 9 turned out, helped by the appearance of 2 tandems. We headed down through Middleton Tyas, Scorton, Catterick to Hackforth where we stopped for lunch at the pub. We headed back to the A1 where we had the pleasure of crossing over before saying our goodbyes and best wishes of the season to Liz and Paul when they turned off to head for home at Great Langton. We carried on, through Forest, and then across to Brompton on Swale. Dave Neesam peeled off at Scorton, as the remainder cycled back to Barton. Thanks to Bob and Jean, Rodney and Shirley. Mick. Dave, Liz and Paul for neglecting the last minute Christmas shopping and me an enjoyable excuse for not doing mine! Gary Dawes |
