From the Log of the MoonrakerHow good it was to get on the water again as I did not manage it last year. Great to see the event so well supported and the usual run of happy faces old and young! I would not have been able to take part had it not been for the help of club members who brought me and the Moonraker to and from the river as I do not have a roof-rack for the new car. Very many thanks. Also thanks to Anne and Francis who accompanied me down and, more to the point, assisted me in the difficult portage at Lownethwaite Bridge. The Moonraker is too fragile and precious to bash over the rocks, after all she is about forty years old now. Happy paddling A P Addler |
